Ray Lane

Ray Lane has been involved in the strategy arena for some time now.  Ever since he graduated from West VIrginia Univesity, he's plyed his trade using his mathematics degree to better analyzie corporate structure.   In the 1990s it was his innovation that brought Oracle to their pinnacle.  A moderately successful company in their own right, the had never taken off like they did after Ray Lane took the reigns.  He found a way to save money, and increase productivity ten fold, just by crunching the numbers.  That allowed him to make Oracle into the well oiled machine it always should have been.  That's also how he got the position as Chairman of the Board at Hewlett Packard, and why he still sits on the board of directors today.  They didn't become a massive computer super giant on their own.  People like Ray Lane analyzed, and figured out the best possible strategy for maximizing their potential.  But he's also an intelligent investor.  He uses his money wisely, with the right types of companies that really have a chance to be successful.  Including large investments with Luca Technologies, Fisker Automotive, Greatpoint Energy, And Aquion Energy.
